Set up email in Windows Mail
Add your WebGee mailbox to the Windows Mail app using Exchange, which also brings your contacts and calendar into the People and Calendar apps.
Add your WebGee mailbox to the Mail app on Windows. Applies to every WebGee Workspace mailbox, on Windows 8 and later.
Adding the account as Exchange brings mail, contacts and calendars across together, so the People and Calendar apps are populated too.
Add your mailbox
- Open Mail.
- If you have not used Mail before, select Add Account. Otherwise select Accounts in the sidebar, then Add Account.
- Select Exchange.
- Enter your full email address, then select Next.
- Enter your mailbox password, then select Log in.
Your messages begin downloading, and your contacts and calendars appear in the People and Calendar apps.
Check it worked
Send yourself a message from webmail. It should arrive within a few seconds — Exchange delivers immediately rather than checking on a schedule.
If the account will not add
- The password is wrong. Confirm it by signing in to webmail.
- The address is incomplete. Enter the full address, not just the part
before the
@. - Exchange is unavailable. Add the account as Other account (POP, IMAP) instead and enter the values from Email server settings. Contacts and calendars will not sync on IMAP.
