Add an email signature in webmail

Create a signature in WebGee webmail, set up multiple identities for different addresses, and switch between them when composing.

Add a signature to the bottom of messages you send from webmail, and set up separate identities if you send from more than one address. Applies to every WebGee Workspace mailbox.

An identity bundles a display name, address, reply-to address and signature. You can have several and pick between them per message.

Create or edit a signature

  1. Sign in to webmail.
  2. Select the gear icon beside your email address, top left.
  3. Select Mail in the left menu.
  4. Select IMAP Accounts along the top.
  5. Select the pencil icon to the right of your email address.
  6. Select an existing identity, or select New Identity.
  7. Enter your signature and any other details.
  8. Select OK.
  9. Select the green floppy disk icon near the top left.

Step 9 is not optional. Selecting OK closes the dialog but does not save — your changes are lost unless you then select the save icon on the page behind it. This is the single most common reason a signature does not appear.

Return to your inbox with the green envelope icon, top right.

Switch identity when composing

  1. Start a new message.
  2. At the top of the compose window, select the X in the light box containing your address.
  3. Choose the identity you want from the list.

The signature changes with the identity.

Check it worked

Send yourself a message. The signature should appear at the bottom. If it does not, go back and confirm you completed step 9.
