What happens if you do not pay on time

The timeline from a missed invoice to suspension and termination, and how long you have to recover a service at each stage.

What happens when a renewal invoice goes unpaid. Applies to every WebGee service.

The timeline

What suspension means

The service stops — websites go offline, email stops being delivered. Your data is untouched, and paying the outstanding invoice restores everything.

Mail sent to a suspended account is rejected, not queued. Senders receive a bounce and those messages are not recoverable once service resumes.

What termination means

After 30 days suspended, the account is deleted. Files, databases, email and backups all go.

Termination is permanent. Once an account is terminated we cannot recover it, including from backups — those are removed along with the account. If a service matters, act during the 37 days before that point.

Avoiding it

Keep your email address current. All three reminders go there — see Update your account details.
Check your payment method has not expired. An expired card is the most common cause.
Check your spam folder if a renewal has passed without you seeing a reminder.

If you are already suspended

Pay the outstanding invoice from the client area; reactivation is usually automatic. If it does not come back within an hour, open a ticket.

If you cannot pay right now, open a ticket before the 30 days elapse. Termination cannot be undone afterwards, but it can be discussed beforehand.

If you no longer want the service

Cancel it rather than letting it lapse — see Cancel a service. Non-payment generates reminders, a suspension and a payment record, none of which you want on an account you intend to keep using for something else.
