# Install applications
Source: https://docs.webgee.com/en/wordpress-cloud/install-applications

A website can hold more than the application it was created with. Use **Install
app** to add another, or to install a specific WordPress version. Applies to all
WordPress Cloud packages.

Open a website and go to **Apps**.

Each installation shows its version, plugin count and user count, with
**Toolkit** and **Admin** buttons. **Scan** re-detects applications on disk —
useful after you upload a site by FTP and the panel has not noticed it.

## Install a new application [#install-a-new-application]

Select **Install app**, then choose:

| Application | Notes |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| **WordPress** | A plain installation |
| **WooCommerce + WordPress** | WordPress with WooCommerce preinstalled |
| **Joomla** | The Joomla CMS |
| **OpenClaw** | Marked **BETA** |

## Choose a version [#choose-a-version]

<img alt="The WordPress version list, with the latest release marked" src="__img3" />

The version list runs from the current release back through several earlier
ones. Take the version marked **LATEST** unless you are reproducing a problem or
matching an existing site.

## Choose where it goes [#choose-where-it-goes]

The **Domain** field selects which of the site's domains the application serves,
and the field beside it takes an optional subdirectory.

* Leave the path blank to install at the document root.
* Enter `shop` to install at `example.com/shop`.

Installing into a subdirectory of a site that already has WordPress at the root
is supported, but the two installations are independent — separate databases,
separate updates, separate plugins.

## Set the admin account [#set-the-admin-account]

The same admin account fields as
[Add a website](/en/wordpress-cloud/add-a-website): username, email, and a
password meeting the complexity rules. Use the generator icon rather than
inventing one.

## Verify [#verify]

* The new installation appears under **Apps** with its version.
* Its URL loads and shows the application's first-run state.
* **Databases** shows the extra database that was created for it.
