# Build a site with Sitejet Builder
Source: https://docs.webgee.com/en/hosting/build-a-site-with-sitejet

**Sitejet Builder** builds and publishes a website from inside cPanel — a
drag-and-drop editor with templates and an AI generator, publishing straight to
a domain on your account.

Applies to cPanel accounts using the
[Meridian theme](/en/hosting/the-meridian-theme), on a plan that includes
Sitejet Builder. If it is not offered on yours, ask WebGee support.

## Open the builder [#open-the-builder]

In the **Websites** hub, take whichever route matches your situation:

| Situation | Route |
| -------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| A domain you have not added yet | **Add a Website**, enter the domain, then select **Sitejet Builder** |
| A domain already on the account | **Manage** next to the domain, then **Build with Sitejet** |
| A new account with nothing on it | **Build Your Website**, from the suggested actions on the dashboard |

Publishing writes the generated site to the domain you point it at. Use a
domain or subdomain with nothing on it, or take a backup first — see

## Start the site [#start-the-site]

Two starting points, both leading to the same editor:

1. **Choose a template.** Professionally designed, mobile-ready and
SEO-friendly, and every part of it is editable.
2. **Describe your site to the AI generator.** Write what the site is for and it
produces a complete first version — layout, content, images and structure.
**Improve with AI** refines your description if the first result misses.
Enable **Import content from my existing website** and enter a domain to
recreate a site you already have.

Whichever you pick, you land in the drag-and-drop editor, where AI tools remain
available for refining individual sections.

## Publish [#publish]

1. Select **Publish**. Sitejet builds the site and deploys it to your domain in
   cPanel.
2. Select **Visit Site** to see it live.

Publishing is the step that makes the site public. Everything before it happens
in the builder only.

## Edit it later [#edit-it-later]

From the **Websites** hub, either:

* select the **Sitejet** label in the **Apps** column for that domain, or
* select **Manage** next to the domain, then **Edit Site**.

Changes go live when you publish again.
