# Build a site with SiteBuilder Pro
Source: https://docs.webgee.com/en/getting-started/how-to-use-the-site-builder-sitebuilder-pro

Build a website using the drag-and-drop editor included with your hosting.
Applies to shared, reseller and Premium hosting.

Open **SiteBuilder Pro** in cPanel under **Software**.

## Working with elements [#working-with-elements]

The builder is drag and drop. Available elements include text, images,
galleries, video embeds, maps, shapes, lines, menus and language switchers.

| Action | How |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| Add | Drag the element onto the page |
| Edit | Double-click it, or right-click → **Properties** |
| Remove | Select it and press **Delete**, or right-click → **Remove** |
| Lock or reorder | Right-click → **Lock** or **Order** |

Locking is worth using once a layout is right — it stops elements being nudged
out of place while you edit around them.

## Page settings [#page-settings]

Under **Settings**:

* **SEO** — page title and meta description. Fill these in; they are what search
  results display.
* **Background**, **Styles**, **Width** — page appearance.
* **Favicon** — the browser tab icon.
* **Google Analytics** — paste your tracking ID.

Manage pages and menu entries under **Navigation**.

## Before you commit a real site to it [#before-you-commit-a-real-site-to-it]

<Callout type="warn">
A site built here is tied to this builder. There is no clean export to
WordPress or to another host — moving later means rebuilding. For a brochure
site that is fine. For anything you expect to grow, or to migrate, start with
  [WordPress](/en/hosting/wordpress/how-to-install-wordpress-with-softaculous) instead.
</Callout>

Also worth knowing:

* **No plugin ecosystem.** What the builder offers is what you get.
* **No staging.** Changes go live when you publish.
* **Not suitable for a shop.** Use WooCommerce on WordPress.

## Publishing [#publishing]

Publish from within the builder. It writes into your document root, so make sure
you are not overwriting an existing site — see
[Where to upload your website files](/en/getting-started/where-should-i-upload-my-website-files).

Set up HTTPS afterwards:
[Install a free SSL certificate](/en/security-ssl/free-ssl-certificate) and
[Force HTTPS](/en/security-ssl/force-https).
